Giveaway: Breaking Up with Perfect
It’s time for the Breaking Up with Perfect Giveaway! Before you write this one off under the presumption that it is not applicable to you, hear me out. I am a person who has never aimed for perfection; in fact, I tend to do the exact opposite. Amy Carroll addresses this behavior as the “never good enough” girl and boy--does she hit the nail on the head! Yikes, did she have me in mind when she wrote this? No matter what side of the fence you fall on, the “good girl,” or the “never good enough girl,” you will love this book! I am confident that if I had read this book in my twenties it would have saved me from years of turmoil and strife, and I am looking forward to having my teenage daughters read it.
How do you enter the drawing for the free copy of Breaking Up with Perfect? Each person who submits their story* on My Life.Altered will be placed in the drawing to win a free copy of the book. Before I go on, let me clarify a few things. When I say “Your Story,” I mean a part of your life that has made a huge impact on you and is part of the reason you are who you are today, or where you are. Your story doesn’t have to be complete--you may still be in the middle of a life-changing journey. “Your Story” may or may not include God or a spiritual aspect--there are many incredible life changes that happen outside of church, and there are tons of non-believers that make a huge difference in other’s lives. You can write about one event that made a difference in your life, good or bad. Your story doesn’t have to be pretty or have the perfect ending. Every story is different, and each story can help someone else on their journey.
Grab a pen or a computer and start writing. We'd love to hear from all of you. Good Luck!
~ Melissa
