What's Your Life Anthem?

Our lives may be the first encounter others have with “Jesus”.

Whether we know it or not, people are watching us to see how we

·       respond in times of chaos

·       endure struggles

·       engage with people who don’t believe as we do

This is so challenging as broken people in a dark world, but God’s Word gives us a perfect remedy.

“I’m headed for His place to offer anthems that will raise the roof! Already I’m singing God songs, I’m making music to God.” – Psalm 27:6-8 MSG

I love this imagery! I don’t know about you, but I love a good dance party. One where you sing and dance like no one is watching.

This is exactly what David was doing, even while running for his life! (Side note: Jealousy makes us do ugly things. Get the full story in 1 Samuel)

This entirety of Psalm 27 tells of a deep faith and relationship with God.

A faith that allows David to be

·       Fearless (v1)

·       Peaceful (v3)

·       Secure (v5)

·       Confident in God’s goodness (v 13-14)

We too can have this rock-solid faith by communing with God through prayer and studying His word.

Our lives will become anthems of God’s goodness, grace, and mercy.
